Definitions of the categories used in this index:
Digitized press backlist titles via a library server —
Online availability of a subset of press backlist titles, typically via Open Access, but sometimes limited to a university community.
Enhanced online provision of press print titles —
Library provision of online access to current press titles that expands the coverage or functionality of the print volume.
Online research and reference services —
Collaborative creation of thematic online research or reference services.
Online book or journal publishing platform —
Digital publishing platforms, sponsored by both the press and the library, to support online journals and/or monographs.
Open-Access Journal —
Collaborative creation and/or distribution of open-access journals.
Press distribution of library content —
Press marketing and print distribution of content created, sponsored, or controlled by the library.

This index is part of the Campus-based Publishing Resource Center, organized by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), an international alliance of academic and research libraries working to correct imbalances in the scholarly publishing system. The Resource Center is maintained by an editorial board representing library and university press staff actively engaged in publishing partnerships.
